The Difference Between Business Mission and Vision

June 8, 2010

I am frequently asked the question “What is the difference between business mission and vision?”

In a nutshell, a business Vision Statement describes WHERE you are going; while the Mission Statement tells WHY.

The Vision Statement is about how you’ll know when you are THERE. As in “we are taking the business to new heights”. OK, where exactly are those new heights and what does that mean? Some business experts advocate that an effective Vision Statement answers the question: “What Business Are You In?” I would like to add that it should be exciting and inspiring. When you write a Vision Statement that works, you know it instantly. It sends a clear message to the universe of exactly what you would like to achieve, and you are able to look at it and think “now that’s a worthy challenge, yes, I/we want to do that.”

In my first business, I didn’t have a plan or write out a vision, I just wanted to set up a successful practice and I couldn’t understand why I seemed to be locked into one operating level . This time I vowed it would be different. So I sat down and thought through how I wanted to live, how big the business would have to be to support that, and as I planned and visualized, I realized that this was big, a whole new level, and that there were many reasons that went far, far beyond self interest why I should do it. When I’m feeling lethargic or low for some reason, thinking about my vision helps me refocus my energies and get back into motion. If your Vision Statement is very wordy, or has become part of the furniture, it’s time to re-energize it. My Mastermind workshops operate on the principle that the Vision and the rest of the plan need to be worked and re-worked regularly, and that doing this in community with others is exceptionally powerful.

While this article would be too long if I included the exercises and questions to help guide you towards articulating a Vision Statement, one tip I would like to include is the use of Vision Boards or some kind of visual representation. Include your team while you are creating this graphic. You might try employing the services of a graphic recorder/facilitator. When a vision is shared by many people and they are all holding clear images of their roles and perhaps how things might be different, real magic starts to happen.

The Mission Statement communicates to your stakeholders (employees, partners, shareholders, customers, raving fans . . .) WHY you are going THERE. It helps people who may (or may not) wish to join you in achieving your Vision, decide if their values are in alignment. When a potential partner of mine read my Mission statement and realized I was all about helping creative entrepreneurs set up their own small business profitably; she realized she wasn’t interested in joining the business, it just wasn’t close enough to her personal sense of purpose which was more around corporate culture change. It was disappointing, but much better to know before we made any contractual arrangements.

Most of us address the question “What is my purpose?” at some time in our lives. Aligning your company with your personal sense of purpose and communicating that alignment, respects everyone’s sense of purpose. A well written Mission Statement is something that speaks to people, customers included, of who you really are, and can provide a sense of meaning for you and others if the going gets rough.

Sitting down to write a Mission Statement, or communicating one out loud for the first time, can be anxiety producing for people. In our society it is still a bit unconventional, even for personal growth workshop junkies like myself, to say these things out loud. My business training using NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) workshops help people access information they may be holding at an “other than conscious” level, while the support and witnessing of the group makes it possible to create a meaningful business Mission Statement. The best tip I can give small business owners and creative entrepreneurs for creating a useful Mission Statement is to work with some sort of group.

Visioning – A Solution to the Recession – 15 Strategies to Achieving an Inspiring Vision

June 5, 2010

The following article highlights the importance of visioning in goal setting and explains how its related concepts can contribute to personal/team and organizational achievement, in particular during the recession.

Vision setting

Vision setting is a key strategy in the achievement of your goals. A goal is a dream with a deadline, people with goals move ahead, people without goals work with people with goals, Brian Tracey.

A vision is a statement of intention, the manifestation and desired end result or outcome of our desires.

A vision is also a motivational tool. Management theorists describe two theories of motivation: content theories and process theories. Content theories describe what motivates us and process theories describe how we are motivated. Visioning sits with process theories, it’s a strategy to motivate us.

Visioning also has links to religious, faith and cultural beliefs. In Christianity heaven could be described as a vision of the ideal outcome after death. For believers it’s about their own personal vision of heaven or its anti thesis hell. In theory for a believer the desire to achieve the manifestation of their vision in heaven acts as a motivator for their behaviour on earth.

Individuals who believe in cosmic ordering also believe that your vision is your statement of your desires and in order to achieve your vision you have to articulate it and tell “the universe” what you really want. The principle behind it is that individuals believe that they can use their desires to connect with the “cosmos” and make their desires a reality. The Right Reverend Carl Cooper rejects cosmic ordering as nonsense, though interestingly he describes it as goal setting using spiritual language.

Visioning is our first strategy, the foundation on which the journey towards our goal takes place. It is also a key performance indicator (KPI) in relation to the achievement of our goal. A vision is also a measuring tool.

In his book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey says that we should start with the end in mind. We should begin with the vision.

Leadership theorists such as Follett and Peters have emphasised the importance of visioning in leadership performance. Coaching gurus such as David Rock highlight the importance of visioning for individuals in the goal setting process of coaching.

Visioning is a strategy by which we can communicate our dreams and desires both internally to ourselves and also to others.

Take a few moments to describe your vision in an area of your life that matters to you, eg. Relationships, finances, career

How effective were you at describing this vision?

Was your vision clear?

If we were to question what we do when we don’t have a vision, many of us would agree that we go through the motions, we undertake activities habitually and often waste: time, energy and resources with no clear purpose.

I’ve done this on occasions at the weekend, I’ve had a vague vision about taking a break, getting some fresh air, going shopping or taking a wander and not known clearly where or what I want to do to achieve this. It’s quite disconcerting, not having a route map, how do you plan your journey? Which way do you turn at the junction, right, left or do you go straight on? When will you know that you have reached your desired destination?

The benefits of creating a clear vision mean that: you have a tool to motivate and inspire you on your journey, the end point is clear; you can measure your achievement and articulate your vision to others when required.

Can you easily articulate your vision to others?

A clear vision is one which you can easily articulate. Men and women of great historical importance have influenced others by clearly articulating their vision. Martin Luther King expressed his vision for equality and civil rights in America with his “I have a dream speech”. He used the term dream and as such our visions are our dreams until we put strategies in place to make them a reality.

If a vision were to be described as a plant it would be the root and also the flower. A vision could be described as a foundation, the outcome, the manifestation of growth, nurture, hardiness and nourishment. In the plant world, weeds grow in most places irrespective of the conditions. Other blooms, such as lilies take more nurture, effort and care to yield results.

In the same way an inspiring vision requires: nurture, care, effort and nourishment over a period of time to come into full bloom. An inspiring vision will rarely thrive if it is left to it’s own devices.

10 steps to creating a vision and releasing the inner child

1. Allow yourself to be childlike

Our brains are divided into three areas, leading to three types of intelligence: our rational brain (IQ), our emotional brain or emotional intelligence and our spiritual brain or spiritual intelligence.

Our rational intelligence (IQ) is clearly under developed in childhood. Our emotional intelligence (EI) which is concerned with the management of our emotions and the emotions of others is also developing, though Danile Goldman in his book Emotional Intelligence, reported high degrees of emotional intelligence and empathy in toddlers.

It is possible that our spiritual intelligence is at its natural peak during childhood and declines as our rational intelligence develops. Spiritual intelligence is related to that part of the brain which allows us to hope and dream and visualise. For many children nothing is impossible in their vivid imaginations, it is easy to be transported to a dream world at the drop of a hat. In this dream world we can believe without evidence in concepts and people that exist within the power of our imagination.

2. Create a conducive environment

Time, space and focus are essential for creating a vision.

Ensure that you won’t be interrupted by any communication from anyone not involved in your visioning process. Take some time to take deep breathes both in and out before the process takes place. The act of breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon monoxide helps to clear and focus your brain and inject some energy to support the thinking and visualisation process.

3. Think about what you want, as opposed to what you don’t want

Visions should be set in a positive context as opposed to a negative. Visions should depict what you want to happen as opposed to what you don’t want to happen. This works by using positive visualisation as opposed to negative reinforcement. For example, if a woman wanted to lose weight so that she could fit into her dream wedding dress, it would be more motivating to create a vision of what she wanted to look like rather than what she didn’t want to look like. The former will encourage positive feelings of encouragement, while the latter uses negative reinforcement.

4. Reflect on success

Have a practice run, visualise happiness and success by reflecting back to an occasion when you were really happy, such as: a holiday, celebration, examination success or a new exciting job offer. Try and picture the occasion in your mind, run through the events scene by scene and try and remember and engage the positive feelings that you had. Transfer these good feelings to your current vision.

5. Dream in HD

Practice having HD quality dreams with a sharp picture quality and extensive detail. Replay this vision in blue ray DVD quality remembering to incorporate, sounds, feelings, smells and tastes if relevant.

6. Be your own film director

Your vision should be focused on what will happen when your dream becomes a reality. Detail is important and your dreams should reflect this. If your vision is in relation to a particular event, create every scene from preparation, content, other actors, colours, smells, feelings and conversations.

7. Don’t allow your dreams to be limited

Freud describes our rational mind as the ego. This limits our thinking and our behaviour, it doesn’t allow us to express our selves in the way in which our instinct may wish to; it suppresses our instincts through mind control. The ego will send a message to your brain saying that our dreams and desires are irrational, unreasonable, impossible, outrageous or just plain wrong. It is our rational adult voice and perhaps according to Bryne in his theory of Transactional Analysis, the voice of our critical parent. By contrast there are links between spiritual intelligence and Freud’s Super Id, the part of our personality which allows us to follow our desires.

8. Consider what you will have when you achieve your vision

It’s important to take time to consider the reality of your vision and what you will have when you achieve it. Is it something that you really want? There is an old saying that states “be careful what you wish for, it may come true”. Considering what you will have when you achieve your vision is an opportunity to road test your vision to see if it’s what you would like in reality. You may have set your heart on a particular career, relationship or other life choice. The reality of this choice may mean that though you were inspired to achieve the goal, it may not be sustainable in the long term.

9. Have faith in your vision

Faith could be described as a belief in something that cannot be evidenced. This relates to your ability to maintain the belief in what may seem to be the intangible or the impossible. Individuals with a high level of positive believe and persistence or self effacy are more likely to achieve their goals. For some individuals a high level of self effacy is natural for others this may be learned. This is described by many theorists including Martin Siegman in his theory of learned optimism. Again this is also related to the theory of emotional intelligence. In his book on Emotional Intelligence, Daniel Goldman describes how emotional intelligence can be a predictor of success over and above IQ. He reports that studies showed that emotionally intelligent individuals were often more successful than those with a higher IQ.

10. Write your vision down

A written statement of your vision in a visible place will help you to maintain focus on your goal, in particular if it’s somewhere where you’ll see it at least once a day. Again advocates of Cosmic Ordering believe that this action is putting your desires out to the universe. For those who are not fans of Cosmic Ordering or familiar with this theory, the action of focusing on your vision will ensure that your focus remains on your vision and you are more likely to achieve it.

11. Reflect on your written vision at least four times a week.

If your vision is in a visual place, you can read it, measure yourself and assess your progress against it and remind yourself of what you will need to do to ensure that your vision becomes live. We have heard that focusing on your vision, gives you a much better chance of obtaining success. Replay the dvd that you have made of your vision at least twice a week, remembering to dream without limitations.

12. Plan for limiting beliefs

If negative imagines enter your mind during these dreams make a note of them after your dream session is over. This may be your subconscious highlighting you to a challenge in your vision which may need to be addressed. Don’t allow any negative emotions associated with the thought to disturb your vision. Assure yourself that you will consider the challenge in a solutions focused way when the dream is over

13. Develop a route map to your vision

You will need to determine the journey that you need to take to achieve your vision or final destination. If you visiting a major city anywhere in the world and you were taking a journey across the city using the underground and were unfamiliar with the underground system, it would make sense to obtain a journey planner and plan your route. Without a route map the journey would be likely to be considerably longer. The costs to you of taking the journey without a plan would be likely to be irritation, frustration, tiredness, demotivation and fatigue.

14. Get a coach

The right coach will support you in accelerating your progress towards your vision. Coaching is an investment as opposed to an expense. If your vision is inspiring and something that you really want, what is the cost of not investing in a coach to support you in realising your dreams?

A coach can cheer you on, inspire you and stretch you towards the achievement of your vision.

How much do you want to give your life/team/service/organization the X factor this year?

15. Celebrate your success

The Portland Vacation Possibilities are Endless

June 4, 2010

Portland, Oregon is like that kid in high school you wish you would have gotten to know better. A little weirder than average but emitting intriguing vibes of originality and depth, this city has personality to spare and often turns out to be a much better vacation companion than traditionally popular spots. It takes time to become fully acquainted with all that this lovely and offbeat place has to offer, but be assured that each step is an enjoyable one.

An interesting history is always a good start, as it provides a solid foundation for all that a city will become. Trivia lovers take note: we could just as easily be calling this town Boston right now, as two original settlers actually flipped a coin in order to determine who would name the place after his hometown. Luckily, confusion was bypassed when the man from Portland, Maine won the toss. Those two probably didn’t realize that the modest grounds they stood upon would one day be a thriving cultural mecca and haven for nature lovers, beer brewers and so much more.

Thanks to future-thinking zoning laws, an inherent earth-friendliness and a dedication to preservation and sustainability, Portland is consistently ranked one of the country’s most livable cities. Skyscrapers will never obscure the stunning vision of Mount Hood and farmland has kept its place alongside the business buildings. Despite a growing population and high level of energy, Portland has maintained an intimate and small town feeling that locals cherish and visitors soon fall in love with.

The wonderful year-round weather (mild winters, warm dry summers) and the surrounding mountains, wilderness trails, lakes and streams make this and outdoors-oriented destination. Day trips to Mount Hood, Mount Saint Helens, the Willamette Valley and the Colombia River Gorge are easy and tempting so be sure to pack your hiking boots and a camera in order to fully explore and remember this low-key and lovely region of the country.

Oregon’s natural gifts are easily accessible from the city of Portland, but don’t underestimate the wide array of things to see and do within the perimeter of this quietly bustling, oh-so-cool hot spot. Hippies, hipsters and green thinkers definitely add their influence to Portland’s scene, but it can’t be boiled down into a few simple labels. Rather, the city exists as a friendly confluence of progressive ideas, artistic endeavors, culinary creativity and open-mindedness.

Portland is very pedestrian friendly and has an unusually easy to navigate mass transit system. Inviting spots like Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park, which replaced a four lane freeway, and Pioneer Courthouse Square, known as “Portland’s living room” are free places to soak in public art, people watch and further appreciate the individuality of this fun, fresh-air loving city. Biking is also a good way to see the sights, both in the city and around the nearby countryside.

As for art and culture, Portland will probably dish out more than you can take. In addition to just strolling through the artsy and colorful neighborhoods (like the Pearl District, Chinatown, Hollywood and Hawthorne Boulevard) and letting fate take its course, there are specific places to visit as well. The Portland Zoo, the International Rose Test Gardens, the Portland Art Museum, Salmon Street Springs and The Grotto Gardens are a few to get you started, but believe that there’s plenty more where that came from. Depending on what time of year you’re here, you might be able to see the vast displays of fragrant flowers that have given Portland its nickname as the “City of Roses.”

Many famous yearly festivals dot the calendar as well, including the Rose Festival, the Bite of Oregon food and music fest, and the Oregon Brewers Festival, which showcases another of Portland’s talents as a microbrewery capital and beer loving crowd of folk. Great shopping, a healthy music scene, lots of bookstores and coffee shops and many fine restaurants fill in any gaps, ensuring that every visitor will be able to leave sated and impressed with this thoroughly savvy town.

Letting Portland rub off on you is always a pleasant experience, and can be enjoyed even more by renting a vacation home in one of the funky neighborhoods or near downtown. Living like a local allows for all the secrets of the city to more easily be revealed, and having the comforts of home in a home-away-from home lays the foundation for a relaxed and rejuvenating trip.

Business Development For Memoir Professionals – 4 Questions to Ask About Your Vision

June 3, 2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Everyone who starts a business is a visionary of sorts. How else would we be able to face the daunting challenge of creating something out of nothing? Not everyone succeeds. What separates those whose visions culminate in viable businesses from those whose hopes and dreams crumble is perhaps the ability to dream realistically.

Here are three questions to ask yourself about your business vision and your ability to dream realistically.

1. Is your hope income goal reasonable? It is not realistic for a memoir practitioner to expect to earn $500,000 a year. There is a limit to how much one can charge per hour. The volume of work to earn $500,000 would be too great to accomplish. It is realistic however for a person to aspire to earn $100,000.

2. Are you prepared to market your business? Too many memoir professionals spend their time developing books, curriculum, and other didactic materials and ignore the marketing tasks so necessary to develop their companies. It is not true that, if you have good products, the market will find you. It just doesn’t work that way. For the public to know about you, you must market.

3. Are you prepared to do the record keeping it takes to keep a company running? Record keeping of finances will tell you if you are earning money or not. Record keeping of contacts with potential clients and of turn-over rates into clients will help you to create marketing plans. The record keeping lists goes on and on. Without proper records you cannot maintain nor grow your company.

4. Are you prepared to learn what you don’t know about running a company? This includes skills in the areas of the computer, marketing, and management. This information is available in workshops, tele-classes, coaching, variously on the internet, in books, and through analyzing your records.

I do not believe that one is born as a business person. It is possible for anyone with a vision to create a successful business–but it takes discipline and knowledge.

Rome’s Magnificent Fountains – Another Reason to Visit Italy’s Eternal City

June 1, 2010

Rome’s world famous fountains are rich with history that is ancient and full of majesty and genius. There are fountains that date as far back as the first century when Rome ruled the world. But some of the most magnificent fountains date to the 18th century Renaissance period which filled Rome with wonderful outdoor art.

Unlike most cities, fountains in Rome are far from plain and utilitarian. Rome differs from anywhere else on earth because just as the city itself is a work of art, the fountains that grace the streets are wonderful displays of artistic talent.

Of the many fountains, the Trevi is no doubt the one most recognizable. But there is plenty of competition for your time in Rome if you do nothing more than go on a tour of its delightful fountains.

An outstanding example of fountain artistry is the Fountain of Triton otherwise known as Fontana del Tritone. This fountain is a classic example of Baroque artwork as it was expressed at the hands of the master artist Bernini in 1642. The vision of a mighty Merman (the masculine form of a mermaid) sitting on a huge clamshell and being served by dancing dolphins is one that is often used in advertisements and movies as typical Roman setting.

The artist Bernini dominates the fountain works in Rome and his very first in the series is near the Spanish Steps. This fountain is called the Barcaccia and the sculpture of a sunken sea vessel set the tone for the use of the Baroque style of art in outdoor sculpture on the streets of Rome.

Bernini’s fondness for the sea scenes is also on display at the Fontana del Moro, otherwise known as the Fountain of the Moor. You can find this fountain in the southern section of the Piazza Navona which is a delightful site to spend some time. Here you can stop and admire the mighty sea god Neptune being worshiped by his subjects. Around Neptune, Tritons send streams of water into the fountain while a diverse assortment of sea creatures have fun below them.

You won’t have walk to but a few steps in the Piazza Navona to admire The Fountain of Neptune. This fine example of Roman fountain artwork was added to the piazza in the nineteenth century and it incorporates many of the same personalities as the Fountain of the Moor but they are used in entirely new ways.

The Fontana dei Tritoni located in front of the Church of St. Maria clearly shows that the artist, Francesco Bizzaccheri emulated the style of Bernini’s artistic vision. This beautiful fountain was finished in 1715 and is located between the Temple of Vesta and the Temple of Male Fortune. The dawn of the age of reason is reflected in the design of this fountain which shows two mighty Tritons knelt on the rocks where a basin is the spot from which the water of the fountain flows forth.

Many would argue well that the classic example of the artistry of Roman fountains is found at the Fontana di Trevi, otherwise known as the Trevi Fountain. This is one of the oldest fountains in Rome as it dates back to the first century. But it was re-built under the authority of Pope Clement XII in 1751.

The Trevi Fountain is the largest fountain in Rome at 85 feet high and 65 feet wide and its size is very much part of why it is so beautiful. You can find this not-to-be missed fountain behind the Palace of the Dukes of Poli. Here we again get to see Neptune but this time riding in a chariot made of a clamshell being drawn by two mighty horses. Tritons again are at the bidding of their master, as are the gods of Health and Wealth who are in attendance.

The well known tradition and superstition of throwing coins into the fountain for luck was born at the Trevi Fountain. Be sure to throw your three coins in as legend tells us that this offering will cause Neptune to bless you with a return visit to Rome one day. Don’t worry about the coins as Rome wisely harvests them to benefit the charities of the city. It is amusing to note that the encouragement of this tradition not only adds to the culture of the city but amounts to pretty clever marketing as well.

The Trevi fountain clearly shows the influence of Bernini as a designer although the actual artist credited with the work is Nicola Salvi. The actual water you will let spill on your hand from the fountain comes from the Aqua Vergine aqueduct which is another Roman utility that was named after a legend. Local custom tells that ages ago a kind virgin offered water from the aqueduct at the fountain to help refresh Roman soldiers.

To be sure you will come home from Rome with plenty of great stories to tell as well as wonderful photographs, make sure you include at least a few of the wonderful Roman fountains in your sightseeing. But if you see one or two of these delightful examples of outdoor Roman fountain art, you will want to see many more.

Simi Valley Tries to Bring Car Accident Rate in Line With Its Safe City Reputation

May 30, 2010

Most Simi Valley car accident attorneys are aware that Simi Valley in Ventura County, California frequently makes the FBI’s list of safest metropolitan cities. In 2005, it had 938 car collisions and 573 of those resulted in no injuries–its lowest number in almost 20 years. Yet, like most busy cities in Southern California, Simi Valley does have its share of car accidents.

In August 2008, a woman was killed and four people were injured in a car crash at the intersection of Kuehner Drive and Katherine Road. One resident who lives off of Katherine Road noted that motorists drive too fast on Kuehner Drive and claimed it’s a dangerous place to drive.

Excessive speed is a major contributor to car collisions and has resulted in many preventable tragedies.

Adding to the cities woes are the California car accident statistics compiled by the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS). In 2006, the CHP reported that nine people were killed car crashes in Simi Valley and 462 were injured. Alcohol-related accidents were responsible for four fatalities and 51 injuries. Twenty pedestrians were injured in auto accidents. And motorcycle accidents injured 13.

As is typical in most cities, motorists who run red lights contribute to a number of Simi Valley car crashes. Simi Valley Police statistics revealed that 60% of city traffic accidents were caused by red-light or right-of-way violations. To catch red-light runners, Simi Valley recently installed blue lights, often referred to as “tattle-tells,” on traffic signals at five of its busiest intersections. When a light turns red, a blue light on the opposite side of the signal lights up. So instead of having to wend their way through a red-light intersection to catch the scofflaw, police can give chase far more safely.

In setting up its tattle tells, specific selected intersections that were most congested during peak traffic hours, times when drivers are most tempted to run a red light and when school is in session. A city traffic engineer noted that tattle tells have been installed at the following intersections:

Erringer Road and Los Angeles Avenue
1st Street and Los Angeles Avenue
1st and Royal Avenue
Sycamore Drive and Cochran Street
Tapo Canyon Road and Alamo Street

One motorcycle officer explained that it’s safer to monitor the intersection with tattle tells because you don’t have to blitz through an intersection, which is dangerous for officers who must race through the red light and avoid cross traffic moving through a green light.

Technology appropriately applied can help prevent car accidents. Signal monitoring systems like these should be considered in cities throughout California.

Christian Living – Sex and the City – The Shocking Truth

May 26, 2010

The Shocking Truth Behind Sex And The City

Well the shocking truth is out. Sex And The City is not good for your health!

I must say I was NOT shocked by the Associated Press report of a New York City Health Department Survey, that showed 1 in 4 New Yorkers were infected with the sexually transmitted disease Genital Herpes.

While Hollywood seems to ignore the obvious troubles associated with the wanton pursuit of sex against the backdrop of the Nation’s most populous city, we are presented with a fashion extravaganza of feel good hype to numb our senses to the truth.

One thing is obvious, they cannot blame this epidemic on the Christian morality system that holds up a biblical world view that would virtually eliminate the transfer of the disease while giving a true vision of happiness and contentment in a monogamous relationship with the love of our youth.

But, in our society we continue to substitute the quick and easy for the slow but effective method. You know, the method that God has presented for our lives because HE understood what the alternatives really had in store for us. The lifestyle where sex followed marriage not the one where sex was an audition for ..marri..er… fun???

No our media tries to hide and mask the truth. Living a life build on Biblical morals, Christian morality, and Godly reverence is the real way to have Sex and Live In The City. The other way also has a foregone absolute outcome. “The wages of sin is death”.

Watch Doctor Who, it’s actually a really funny and at the same time interesting cartoon series. The series is about an unknown scientist who is a time traveler who is only known by many, even his comrades as Doctor Who. Together with his friends, Doctor Who travels around the time in his time machine that seems to look like a blue public police box. As he travels around time, he rights many wrongs and saves lots of people from their dire troubles. Alongside his journeys, Doctor Who exposes the viewer to lots of period of times ranging from the past, present and even to the future where he performs his righteous deeds.

Cartoons like these really have an interesting concept because they do not seem to appear like most cartoons that have very predictable plots and storylines. Instead, those who watch Doctor Who can really enjoy a very rarely used idea in cartoon series which is time travel. As a matter of fact, the movies and television shows that use time travel in their main story lines can only be counted. While there are those that include time travel in some parts of their series, they only integrate the concept in one or two episodes for the whole season set.

If you’ve missed most of the episodes of this great cartoon, you can watch Doctor Who in the internet in many recommended websites that allow these kinds of shows along with all sorts of movies, cartoon and television show episodes that are part of their vast collection of videos for free online streaming.
